Mutual Funds have been around in Canada for a long time and have a relatively good history of creating wealth over a long period of time. It is subjective and relative it and is about you and your money, your knowledge, your advisors knowledge and the time you spend making, creating and preserving wealth. Your sole job and objective is to look out for your investments and your financial goals; you will need to beat the index or the average investor as a start to know you are acheiving modest returns at best and are not alarmed by bad funds or worse portfolios.
